We had specialized training yesterday and it took the whole
entire day so today is officially preparation day. With rain falling I took the opportunity to
retire to my winter quarters after doing all I had to do for the morning. It was just beautiful. Anyway, the week was
super tough. No matter where we went or what we did things just didn't work
out, but we kept pushing on. It's all in the life of a missionary. It is at
these times I truly reflect on the life of the Savior even more. Knowing He did exactly what I'm doing brings
comfort to my soul and reassures me all I'm doing will not be in vain. That’s what really matters … doing the Lord's
will and nothing else.
13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt hath lost its
savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but
to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a
hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a
bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the
house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see
your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
This is how the Savior sees us and this is how we should see ourselves, so the next time you look at yourself in the mirror remember who you are and who you represent. Know no matter who you are, where you come from or what you look like nothing you do in this life that pertains to the will of the Lord - which is eternal - will ever be in vain. No matter how big or how small it may be, it is all eternal. Know it and believe it!!!!!.
